The magnet is very powerful and picks up anything metallic down to metal shavings. Magnetic brooms are great for picking up nails on pavement or in grass. I recently bought a fixer upper house and notice screws, nails and other metal debris kept popping up no matter how much i raked around the house.

And the manufacturer went the extra mile with the hardware. The silicon handle definitely isn't silicon it's some * rubber that stinks something fierce. I only use it to sweep jobsites, and it's fine for that. The algorithms used to provide these results are constantly improving.
