All in all really good gear. I bought this with the smaller 700 (ml)? My diehard cookset for the past couple of years has been the Snow Peak Trek 900 in aluminum. I kept having to stop to keep the rattling down. I keep a Snow Peak Trek 700 in this with a stove and fuel in the 700. Only 8 oz but seems to be exactly what is needed for small servings. I want one because the lid doubles as a 5 inch frying pan. The set weighs in at just 8.5 oz. My friend has one and I like it a lot. I may have to return over the warp, if I have a problem with lid/frying pan fitting. Don't waste your time. Aftertaste. It's neat that the 700 fits in the 900 and the 900 in the 1400 but that's way more gear than I need so personally I don't use anything but my 900. When I first got the 900, I melted snow in it and, like an idiot, didn't put water in first. Set is very lightweight. Used this set for about 10 cooks. The stove fits into the 900 which fits into the 1400. I boiled some water, stuck in my cozy and added some bronners. As a mid-ranged cookset, it finds itself between our Trek 700 and 1400 sets. I can't testify to its usefulness as a pot. The pot easily stores the larger (8 oz) fuel canisters along with a small stove and lighter. If you buy a larger fuel canister, however, it will fill up most of the empty room in the Trek 900 (with the Giga Power in there, too). It's perfect to fry an egg in (use some sort of butter or oil, though). I hike solo, but I also take trips with others. This lil pot is great and super light, however I will say that the sack it comes with is too big for the pot, but still my favorite :). I am still using the same fuel canister. Discolored purple right where it warped. Ditched that to save weight. - so I will say that I've gotten every dollar out of it and then some. Durability is not going to be on par with stainless steel, but that is to be expected from titanium. Didn't care for the bag though, It would have been great to make a form fitting bag to keep the the two items tightly coupled to minimize noise. Ended up returning it in exchange for an aluminum one. The mesh bag is little too big but there is a reason for that. I think my biggest complaint is the pan/lid doesn't stay on the pot very well. So I bought it and used it only 2 days ago in a Nat'l Forest. My only complaint is the fry pan / lid doesn't sit well on the pot. Includes only the minimum of what you need, unlike all other mess kits, which have lots of pieces you never use. Handles will get hot during cooking. I had no choice but to retrieve it since my pocket r "cooking unit" was in it and I had no other way of preparing my food. The lid doesnt fit tightly which is good for general purpose but makes for a lot of noise rattling around in the pack. Other than that it does what's its made for. Sets up real easy. Bought this product a few months ago and used it on a backpacking/car camping trip to Colorado (Snowmass Wilderness Area). Fold out handles were a LITTLE BIT hot after boiling 25oz (3 minuets on my stove) but once you remove the pot from heat, its fine. -And I did drop it nearly 500' off a cliff helplessly watching it tumble into oblivion. Carfull with the heat, no issues with warping or not normal discoloration.
