Worse than that though, the inner door latch (which has to be screwed on with little tiny screws) is supposed to match up to little dots on the doors and the doors were completely misaligned, upside down from each other in direct opposition to the diagram. What is the crate made of? We replaced it with a foam bed. It is not machine washable but only spot clean. The dogs love them too! I would definitely recommend this item.
