On July 6th, 2020 as an alternative to a lethal removal, we welcomed him to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center as our newest resident bear.

We would definitely stay again. Very clean, organized, friendly, well-managed, etc. *well maintained and clean Otherwise, loved the park and would definitely stay here again in the future. Our site had something new; a heating system for the water to keep it from freezing, however when temperatures are forecasted to be near freezing. The playground was very nice and my son loved it.
There is a large staging area, but if you are in one of the large pull-through sites and towing a vehicle, then you stay hooked and pull in. West Yellowstone is such a nice clean little town. Office staff could not have been more helpful or friendlier. The park is big rig friendly. Everyone we met went out of their way to make sure we found what we needed. OTTER ADDITION - Moe, a year-and-a-half old male North American river otter, arrived at the Center from the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, WA. Our site is advertised as 45 feet, but it is really 40 feet.
We saw lots of people there with dogs. They went and charged me a Cancellation fee even though i told them why we needed to cance He toppled a tent and even climbed on an occupied vehicle at the campground. First, no pool, which could be understandable, considering the location and how short the summer is. Our site backed up to an intersection and there was no issue at all with noise. We had a large big rig site that was very long and wide, Charged a depost and then told no spots available - no refund in deposit, February 7th I made a reservation on the online system for a week stay at the Yellowstone grizzly RV park. I had to by an extension kit from the office for $50. Absolutely Awesome!! They have 2 dump stations. The laundry was on the expensive side. First thing we notice, is the width of the streets to move around the park. Our first night was not enjoyable, so the 2nd night I used a sleeping mask to keep out the light. Easy to move around, even for the biggest rigs. Our site backed up to an intersection and there was no issue at all with noise. Our only complaint (not their fault) was the swarms of giant mosquitos (biggest we've seen) around the park, and even worse in the adjacent national forest. We opted to stay at Yellowstone Grizzly because of its prime location, Yellowstone-Grizzly is a top-notch facility near the western entrance to Yellowstone national park. You have to be fairly short to fit in these, but for those who don't there are lots of pull-thru sites. This is the place to stay if you want to explore the west entrance to Yellowstone. So your full RV length ( Vehicle plus RV) must be less than 45 feet. Our spot was level with a nice picnic table and the bathrooms were clean with hot showers & good water pressure! All paved roads with in the park and lots of laundry and bath facilities throughout the park. First of all, it's ridiculous to close bath houses during the time period when people need to use them. I wiill honestly say that this is my first bad experience at Grizzly RV Park. The sites are a bit closely situated but not unreasonably so. Come visit and check out this busy otter!
Yellowstone-Grizzly is a top-notch facility near the western entrance to Yellowstone national park. We have a motor home so got a beautiful, spacious pull through on an end that the dogs enjoyed. Then I asked if I could leave my camper in the check-in parking area while I waited for check-in time and was told absolutely not. He can be seen foraging for food regularly and exploring the habitat. I am giving a split review for this site.
Bathrooms very nice but gave only 4 stars cuz the lights go off on you if you're sitting or showering to long. That Said, I made reservations for July of 2018 and I had to cancel because my wifes mother past away and we just couldn't make it. I enjoyed our stay here! I took off 1 star of the facilities rating for 2 reason. By visiting the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. *0.5 mile from west entrance to Yellowstone. *excellent laundry and restroom facilities (if you have been out west to Yellowstone you know how most parks in SD WY & MT are just gravel parking lots or dirt) Even the sites without service are nice, water & bathrooms are close no matter where you are in the park. All facilities are well maintained. Grass around your spot and new picnic tables. Follow all posted instructions while visiting the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center. Beautiful park. Can you use a portable propane fire pit here? There was a sign on the bath house stating that it would be closed for cleaning from 9-10am. Some shade but temps here are 70s during day and 40s evening. Very close to restaurants and other sites. Our first visit, but not our last!! Beautiful park, absolutely glorious in the fabulous fall weather we enjoyed! They offered to move us the next evening to a different site. The park was 2/3 full during our stay and was very quiet both during the day and night. more. The grounds were excellently maintained with nightly watering and it was a nice place to walk the dog. Wound up with the same clerk and was treated just as rudely as at the beginning. This park is extremely close to the west entrance of the Yellowstone national park, about 5 minutes to the gate.

The water was hot quickly. The town of west Yellowstone is a block or two away-near enough, but not so close to the crowds shopping and eating in town. It has many amenities including multiple bathrooms, showers and laundry rooms. There are more places to choose from in the, yellowstone grizzly rv park hotel west yellowstone. The utilities are excellent and the service is top notch. We were asked to disconnect our water each evening and reconnect in the morning in order to prevent freezing. My word of warning - The back in sites are only 45 feet long. I really appreciated the office/store area - very clean, very nice. Yes, free parking is available to guests. The site was gravel and level, we had a concrete patio and the utilities were well placed.
We were close to the main building and gave up getting on and staying on the internet. We looked at the other parks in downtown West Yellowstone and they all had gravel "parking lots" with the spaces small and cramped. *level gravel site And there was no availability for that week. This RV park will probably always be full it's near town and the West entrance to Yellowstone. The back side of the RV park is surrounded by National Forest land with trails for walking dogs. Verizon 4G coverage was excellent here. But we will never stay there again unless they get a new manager. Easy to use: enter the GWDC, dail-up, follow the signs and start learning! However, that would have entailed disconnecting from utilities, repacking, and towing the rv early next morning to their parking lot and waiting there the entire day with family and dog with no water or electricity until our tow vehicle was available again that evening. This was a great RV park. Most RV's have sewer connections at the back, which meant mine would not reach. The grounds were excellently maintained with nightly watering and it was a nice place to walk the dog. The bathrooms were immaculate, and well maintained. *level gravel site Make your reservations as far in advance as possible!!! One can attempt to back up a little farther and extend unto the grass. Montana nights get cool, but during the day the cabin would heat up to 80 and didn't cool off enough before bed. But the real issue is that the staff closed them much earlier - closer to 8:15am, despite the sign. Part of a nice little town right a the entrance to yellow stone. You wont be disappointed! They have a nice store. I was shocked and dismayed by my stay.
Larger rigs will either want the back-in sites that have a car pad next to them, or a pull through site. Great location, easy walk or bike ride to a great town. He continued to receive enrichment throughout that time, and after he was deemed healthy by our veterinarian, Moe was able to shift into the den spaces near the other otters. The reviews below are not up to Campendium's standards for quality and reliability and therefore are not counted toward the overall star rating. Camp has 4 laundry facilities arranged throughout the park (same building as bathrooms and showers).
Bo was named after the campground from which he was removed. My big complaint is a cleaning schedule was posted on the bathroom doors, but wasn't followed. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the restrooms/showers. I wound up driving around for a little over an hour until I could check-in. The campground is nice - neat and clean, but the staff and attitude of the management is terrible (especially for a place charging top-dollar). This is a very nice, but expensive campground. If you add a day or two to your original reservation, you cannot stay in your same spot, even if it's available.
My wife and I are planning an extended stay next year. more. Campendium is an Amazon associate site and earns from qualifying purchases. Dog walking areas are huge.

We waited until the next campground and the price was half the cost. (406) 646-4466 2. It was cold, with temps below freezing most nights, and enough snow to stick. Walking distance from many restaurants in town. As we were on the corner our site was certainly large enough to feel alone. This is not an inexpensive park, but the sites are nice with the picnic table on a concrete slab. The play ground was kind of small for the size of the park. Check in was easy, all staff were nice and customer-oriented and the wide paved streets made it easy to navigate to our site. Is parking available at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park? Great park to stay or just stop at. they will ask you to unhook your water. My rating is a 4.7. That means you must request a pull through site.
WiFi was somewhat spotty but they were changing over service providers while there and had to overcome a few issues which worked just fine afterward. Although they are pricey, they do offer a Good Sam discount (10%).
