Years ago i purchased what was then the top of the range SB-800 Speedlite for Nikon D40. Then using the controls on the X2T-n I set TTL and 0 compensation followed by +3 stops and then -3 stops. I own physical Nikon SU-4 slaves so the SB-400 could be used with one of those in SU-4 Auto or Manual Mode. A speedlight used on the X2T-n hot shoe might be used as fill flash in either TTL BL or Manual but that's not possible. Using Ni-MH batteries I found exposure compensation, -3 to +3 stops, did not function correctly most of the time. I tried an SB-800 and it performed correctly.
