My coworker let me try a little of this today and I was really impressed by how much it smells like real lilacs. It's a lilac lover's dream. A very lush, cold and dewy scent of early morning air. This scent spells youth in big letters. This perfume is really beautiful. A super buy for lilac floral fans. But on the dry down on MY skin the lilac shines through so much in both fragrances that make them incredibly similar. It's pretty strong, but I was disappointed when you put it on that it's longevity is weak. If you're looking for a realistic lilac fragrance, you aren't going to get much closer than this. So when it comes to lilac, I am shopping for something to spray around and smell, and less something to wear. Just like you're standing in front of a lilac tree in full bloom and inhaling it all. I had a very hard time telling apart the Pacifica from the real thing. Great sillage and longevity, and a veritable bargain! Oh wow, I haven't smelled a lilac perfume so pure and natural since Crabtree & Evelyn discontinued Lilas about 15 years ago. This scent spells youth in big letters. This perfume is really beautiful. A super buy for lilac floral fans. But on the dry down on MY skin the lilac shines through so much in both fragrances that make them incredibly similar. It's pretty strong, but I was disappointed when you put it on that it's longevity is weak. If you're looking for a realistic lilac fragrance, you aren't going to get much closer than this. So when it comes to lilac, I am shopping for something to spray around and smell, and less something to wear. Perfumed in a traditional French style, this fresh scent conjures spring with a blend of lilac, magnolia leaves, heliotrope, ylang-ylang, hyacinth and subtle notes of nectarine. I wore a lilac deodorant in middle school that I was completely obsessed with.
Maybe it's for the best, because even though the lilac smell is significant to me I can respect how it is obnoxious or cloying for others. perfume wears off unusually quickly for me in general, but this one had the shortest wear time of any i've tried, so it's something to keep in mind if you're like me.
I only bought the solid fragrance because I wanted to try before I bought a bottle. Msg frequency varies. I've tried a lot of fragrances. My family owns land in another part of the country where lilac is a native plant. Terrible match with my personality but a nice fragrance that is pretty linear and has good lasting power for being a somewhat natural perfume.
the sillage seems to fade quickly, but then i get a random whiff every now and then. I initially bought this as a rollerball, and then bought the 1oz spray because I was frustrated with the silage (Only an hour!). I really like this. This was instant LOVE for me, and I intend to keep this one in my collection forevermore! This is the Lilac blossom, as found in the sunny garden. But it's also nuclear strength on clothes, and will get cloying after a while, so use with caution!
